Hello and welcome to PERCOM, my name is Michael Hay. In addition to being a Course Coordinator for PERCOM I am also the EMS Administrator for the  City of Reno, Nevada’s Fire Department. Prior to my current position I served as training officer for Harris County Emergency Services District 1 for approximately 1 year. Previous positions included EMS Program Specialist for The Texas Department of State Health Services providing regulatory authority and technical assistance to over 300 EMS providers, EMS Professor at Blinn College in Bryan Texas providing instruction in all levels of EMS and disaster education, and Field Paramedic for East Baton Rouge Parish EMS in Baton Rouge Louisiana caring for a truly underserved community. Additionally I have been in the Army Reserve almost 20 years now and have served as a medical specialist in varying assignments, instructor of combat medicine tactics and procedures, operations officer of a widely geographical , and company commander of a medical evacuation unit.
Educationally I received my bachelor degree from Southeast Louisiana University in the field of Political Science, and my graduate education was taken at University of Phoenix in Healthcare Administration
