ECA / First Responder

Thank You for your interest in our Online Emergency Care Attendant/ First Responder Course. We are proud to offer one of the most advanced classes available to our students. After completion of our course you will be trained and prepared to deal with all levels of emergency situations that a ECA / First Responder would encounter in the field of EMS. You will have up to 4 months to complete this program.  We also offer easy transition to higher skill level positions in the field of EMS. 

 

NREMT ECA/First Responder

       Certification   

Our online course is approved by Texas Dept. of State Health Services and will allow graduates to sit for the National Registry of EMT’s First Responder Exam. In order to verify that you meet the requirements for certification, there are some prerequisites.  Click here to view them. 

 

                Online First Responder Skills Testing                               

 Our First Responder course requires a final skills assessment which must be coordinated with us through one of our approved EXIT SESSION sites located state wide. The cost of the Exit Session is included in the base tuition.  These sites have hard dates set months in advance.  These dates are set based on student volume and availability and are subject to change.  For an additional fee we can schedule a exit session specifically for you.

     Textbook        

Our course utilizes AAOS Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured, Ninth Edition
 as our primary text, although you may utilize any current EMT-basic text (our course is taught using an EMT-Basic text, NOT a First Responder text).  You may order our preferred textbook online directly from the publisher by clicking on the link. We also recommend that students have a variety of reference material. You can look at our Online Store for additional material that may be ordered and links to online reference material.
